Forest School Curriculum is designed to build on common themes from year to year. In successive years students revisit the cycle of the seasons, each time diving deeper, exploring more themes and concepts and increasing students naturalist skills and subject mastery.
Elementary
Beginning in Kindergarten and extending through fifth grade, these students gain the building blocks of nature observation, learning math and reading alongside tracking and plant identification.
Middle School
Our middle school encompasses sixth, seventh and eighth grade. Students dive deep into shelter and human tool use while studying history geology and climate. Math science and critical thinking are emphasized alongside building a deeper connection to the wilderness and more than human world.
